Watershed Recreation Program Open For the Season

Join today to hike, fish and explore our reservoirs

Haworth, NJ - Join Veolia’s Watershed Recreation Program and enjoy hiking, fishing and bird watching along breathtakingly beautiful reservoirs in New Jersey and New York.

Members have access to trails, piers and fishing spots along the Oradell, Woodcliff Lake, Lake Tappan and Lake DeForest reservoirs. Veolia has a special program – the Reservoir Rangers – for children 5 to 12. The young members of this program enjoy exploring the outdoors while learning about becoming good caretakers of the environment.

Throughout the summer and fall, members of all ages are invited to participate in free activities at Veolia’s Haworth Environmental Center. The company hosts a variety of local experts on birding, wildlife, beekeeping, fishing, conservation and environmental issues. The events take place in the company’s outdoor classroom by the Oradell Reservoir, where members of the public can also explore our conservation and pollinator gardens.

Alan Weland, Vice President and General Manager of Veolia’s Operations in New Jersey said: “Our Watershed Recreation Program continues to be a great way for individuals and families to enjoy the best of the outdoors. We are happy to share our properties and our commitment to protecting the watershed with our communities.”

The Watershed Recreation Program is open now until November 30, 2024.
