Oberlin Boil Water Advisory Update:
A routine inspection of the Oberlin tank revealed a damaged screen on a tank vent, this
opening could have allowed contaminants to enter the tank. Veolia Water Pennsylvania
isolated the tank, removing it from service and called this Boil Water as a precautionary
measure. Oberlin customers are currently receiving water from an alternate source. Veolia
will work through the weekend to complete repairs to this tank. Customers near the tank site
will notice increased activity and noise as we work to bring this tank back online. Additional
updates will follow as work is completed.
The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect. Do not drink the water without first boiling it. Bring
a pot of water to a boil, then let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using. Boiled or
bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.
