My Local Veolia projects

The Past & Future of Rhode Island's Water

About 19,500 people in the towns of South Kingstown and Narragansett depend upon Veolia for clean, safe water. The company was originally incorporated in 1887 by four local business people.

Today, our customers receive water from our two well fields located off Tuckertown Road in South Kingstown. Both well fields draw water from the Mink Brook Aquifer. These wells can produce up to 7 million gallons of water per day.

The company manages over 100 miles of water mains, more than 600 fire hydrants and, on average, delivers 3 million gallons of water a day for use by households, businesses and firefighting.
