Lab Results Indicate Water Meets All Safe Drinking Water Standards

In conjunction with the Division of Public Health, Office of Drinking Water, Veolia has lifted a boil water advisory affecting approximately 787 customers in the Town of Newport. On May 21, 2024, Veolia Water issued an alert asking that customers in the area boil their water until further notice due to a water main break. Below the following notification, you will find a map of the affected area.

As a customer of Veolia, you were notified on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to boil your water for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking or other consumption. We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil water before consuming.
